Chapman, and little son departed Monday for a weeks visit with her parents, at Goldendale, Wash A party of young people were en joyably entertained by Miss Murrel Carmichael on Friday evening last. It is expected that the wool ship ment from Lexington this season will exceed last years shipment, which was 10 cars. Mrs. J. M. Turner who has been visiting her daughters, Mrs. C. R. Mc Alister and Mrs. A. D. Bechtel, re turned to her home at Grass Valley yesterday. M, J. Lee, of Portland, was In Lex ington Friday and Saturday and took an order for H. b. burchell s new pumping rig. Mr. Burchell will use a Stover engine. Manager' Gilbreath, of the Kerr Gilford' Warehouse, informed The Wheatfield that enough wheat has came in that the total will reach 240, 000 bushels for the past season. Swaggart was a Lexington visitor last Thursday and in formed The Wheatfield that he recently received notice that he had been awarded a diploma and silver medal on Little Club and Red Chaff wheat at the recent Portland Exposi tion.
