They are very excitable,” Blake Rasmussen said about Energy Trust offers incentive program HERMISTON HERALD The Energy Trust of Ore- gon recently teamed up with Eastern Oregon Heat- ing and Air Conditioning to offer reduced pricing on an energy-effi cient heat pump upgrade. For a limited time, eli- gible consumers can save up to $2,500 on qualifi ed ductless heat pumps, and as much as $3,000 on cen- tral heat pump systems. The upgrade can result in a 40-60% savings on heat- ing and cooling costs. In addition, the system can improve indoor air qual- ity, providing a safer and healthier home. There are no income qualifi cations required to take advantage of the offer. However, there are certain restrictions that apply. The offer, which expires Dec. 31, is available to home- owners with electric heat in Hermiston and the sur- rounding areas. It is not open to businesses. Rasmussen and Kiel Fauske, both of La Grande, revive their roles as Lord Farquaad and Shrek, respectively — each per- formed the parts in Elgin. As veteran actors of com- munity theater, they are thrilled to present “Shrek” again, saying it is among their favorites. In addition to the enter- tainment value, they said it provides an underlying message. “It really demonstrates the acceptance of all differ- ent kinds of people — peo- ple of all different sizes and shapes,” Fauske said. “It’s very inclusive.” Aiden Lovell, 15, who plays the part of a guard and villager, is excited about the chance to per- form. The Pendleton High School sophomore became interested in musical the- ater through a friend. “I love to sing and I love to act,” Lovell said. Lovell’s mother, Lisa Bork, who teaches in Irri- gon, also found her way on stage. Auditioning “on a whim,” Bork plays one of the villagers, performs in the wedding choir and she also serves on the stage crew. The production also includes Jason Hogge as technical theatre direc- tor and Margaret Mayer as musical director. Also, Mayer said many of the cast members have deep ties to BMCC. “I am extremely impressed with the exten- sive talent that we have gathered for ‘Shrek: the Musical.’ Our actors, musi- cians, and technicians are phenomenal,” Hale said.
