Wednesday, Sept. 25 8:21 a.m. A man was walking along Riverfront Park when he was approached by a man who claimed to be from Spokane and had stolen a car. He reportedly said he was “running from the law”. Police were unable to locate the man. 11:18 a.m. A woman complained her ex-husband had taken their daughter to Seattle and is refusing to bring her back. 3:23 p.m. Someone reported that on East Pine Avenue, there are two abandoned cars including a blue Chevrolet Cavalier that had been there for four years. Bohms Sanders Jones Garcia Wilson Six arrested in warrant sweep HERMISTON HERALD Sentences Tuesday, Sept. 24 Olea Save with Frontier Internet Bundles The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Offi ce conducted a warrant sweep on Sept. 24, resulting in six arrests at four different locations of individuals violating parole or with outstanding warrants. The sheriff’s offi ce worked in conjunction with Umatilla County Parole and Probation, the Hermis- ton Police Department and U.S. Fish and Wildlife. “We’re really pleased with the cooperation we received from the Herm- iston Police Department. It helps hold these people accountable. It’s import- ant to bring them forward,” said UCSO Lt. Sterrin Holcomb. Parole and Probation arrested Carrie Ann Olea, 39, of Hermiston, for a felony parole violation; Dustin Gene Sanders, 36, of Hermiston, for six fel- ony charges, including unauthorized use of a vehi- cle; Tyler Wayne Jones, 33, of Irrigon, for violat- ing a post-prison supervi- sion sanction; Allen Rex Bohms, 34, of Hermiston, for a felony parole viola- tion; Marisa Garcia, 26, of Hermiston, for two fel- ony probation violations and one felony parole vio- lation; and Logan Charles Wilson, 21, of Stanfi eld, for one felony count of fail- ing to appear and one fel- ony parole violation. All six individuals were lodged in the Umatilla County Jail. Holcomb said that parole violations are not uncommon, and that the law enforcement agencies were able to work together to hit higher target areas. “People on proba- tion tend to congregate together,” she said.
