Keith was born November 3, 1944, in Enterprise, Oregon, to Ruth and Greg Barton. Keith’s early Barton years were spent in Joseph, Oregon, where he attended school, and loved the wonderful out- door setting pro- vided for fishing and hunt- ing. At the age of 17 he joined the Army and served in Germany. The family eventually moved to Umatilla, Ore- gon. After Keith’s honor- able discharge from the Army he lived and worked in the Umatilla area and also attended Blue Mountain Community College. Keith married Gerry Migles and from the mar- riage a beautiful daughter, Toni, was born. Keith was a handyman who had a variety of jobs including construction, maintaining bowling alleys, and working for the city of Umatilla. The last several years, Keith resided in Caldwell and Boise, Idaho, to be close to family. His parents, Ruth and Greg, preceded Keith in death. He leaves a daughter Toni, sisters Marilee Moores, Wendy Tunison (Mike) and Gwen Nussbacher (Walt), and broth- ers Scott (Janis), Tim (Glenda), and Randy Barton. Keith will be cremated with a private burial at the veterans cemetery in Boise, Idaho. A public cel- ebration of Keith’s life will be announced later in the spring. The family is grate- ful for the many friends and employees Keith met and laughed with at Apex Assisted Living Center. Linda Diane Muth Umatilla November 11, 1949 - November 28, 2017 Linda Diane Muth was born November 11, 1949, in Nampa, Idaho, the daughter of Loyd and Melda (Youree) Caudill. Linda passed away peacefully on Tues- day, November 28, 2017, at the age of 68. Linda grew up and attended school in Muth Nampa. She moved from Nampa to Umatilla, Oregon, in 1980 where she has resided for the past 37 years. She enjoyed playing pool and played in several pool leagues, taking trips to Las Vegas where she enjoyed playing video poker, and spending time with her family. She is survived by sons Robert and Cory Muth; daughters Geral- dine and Amanda Muth; sister Teresa Burns; brother Terry Caudill; 12 grand- children; and nine great-grandchildren. Obituaries may be edited for spelling, proper punctuation and style. Wesley Berdar was born July 27, 1935, in Roundup, Montana, the son of George and Matilda (Algra) Berdar. He passed away on November 18, 2017, in Herm- iston at the age of 82. Wesley grew up and attended school in Roundup, Mont. After high school, he served in the Army for several years and was stationed in Korea. He then returned to Montana where he worked in coal mines. He moved to Ore- gon in 1965, then to Day- ton, Wash., in 1966. He worked on the con- struction of the Little Goose Dam near Dayton, Wash. He then worked as a custo- dian for the Dayton School District for many years. He moved to Hermiston in the late 1990s. Wesley married Ileen Cook and from this union two children, Patty and Clifford “Buster,” were born. The couple divorced many years later. Wes- ley later married Kay Ford who preceded him in death a couple of years ago. Wesley was an avid hunter and fisher- man and enjoyed going to rodeos. He is survived by daugh- ter Patty (Jim) Bly of Day- ton, Wash.; son Clifford “Buster” (Shelley) Berdar of Spokane, Wash.; grand- children Daniel, Pete, Joshua and Taylor; and brother Junior Berdar of Kamiah, Idaho. He passed away with his family by his side on November 29, 2017, in Richland, Washington, at the age of 77 years. Jim graduated Piper from Hermiston High School in the class of 1958. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for 20 years, retiring as a Technical Sergeant. After 20 years of moving around with the military, the fam- ily returned to Hermiston in 1978. Jim worked at Lamb Weston for a short time before enrolling in the die- sel mechanic program at BMCC. He completed the program and worked for JR Simplot for 10 years before moving to Irrigon where he raised calves. He married Ethe- lyn Doney and they later divorced. Jim married Her- mie Jackson on Decem- ber 10, 1984, in Irrigon, Oregon. He enjoyed hunting, fish- ing, camping, his flowers and garden. Jim was a mem- ber of the VFW Post #4750.
