glimpse of victims
An experiential exercise
that provides insight as to
what battered women and
men go through is being
presented in Hermiston.
Participants will move,
do, think and experience
what it’s like from the role
of victims.

The public is invited to
an evening of singing old
hymns with new and old
friends.
The “Hymnspiration”
event is Sunday from 4:30-
5:30 p.m. at Victory Baptist
Church, 193 E. Main St.
Hermiston.
The gathering includes
singing, food and fellow-
ship.

Democrats plan
dinner, auction
The Umatilla Coun-
ty Democratic Party will
hold a spaghetti dinner and
auction Saturday, Oct. 7
from 5-8 p.m. at Pendleton
Center for the Arts, 214 N.
Main St.
The event opens with a
silent auction from 5-7 p.m.
The meal, which begins at
6 p.m., includes spaghetti,
bread, dessert and beverag-
es, including wine.
The cost is $20 per per-
son. The live auction begins
at 7 p.m.
Proceeds from the event
supports the local Demo-
cratic Party, candidates for
local elections and scholar-
ships for deserving students
within the district.
