Established in 1970, the Chuckwagon Cafe has been at its current location since 1979. Prior to that it operated from the building which now houses The Nickel. The cafe’s first location, which burned in 1972, was a small drive-in/diner on Highway Chuckwagon Cafe owner Cathy Stolz is offering “crazy” specials July 24-29 to commem- orate the restaurant’s 47th anni- versary. In addition, there will be sur- prise drawings and on-the-spot anniversary announcements, she said. The cafe is located at 81027 N. Highway 395, Hermiston. 395 where Motel 6 now resides.
