12:28 p.m. - Police looked for but

12:31 a.m. - A caller reported a
man was assaulting a woman at the

7:47 a.m. - A Hermiston man
reported a “black mutt” tried to
attack him at Southwest 10th Street
and West Highland Avenue.
3:04 p.m. - Hermiston police
received a report that a resident of
Guardian Angel Homes, 540 N.W. 12th
St., Hermiston, was missing.
6:26 p.m. - Hermiston police
received a call that three clowns were
near Eastside Market, 582 E. Main St.,
and running toward Highway 395. Once
more, police did not ind any clowns.
7:41 p.m. - Hermiston police
received another report of a clown
sighting, this time second-hand. The
caller claimed the clown was on the
road at Armand Larive Middle School,
1497 S.W. Ninth St., and trying to scare
people.
10:42 p.m. - Guess what? Yep,
another clown sighting. A caller on
the 500 block of Willamette Avenue,
Umatilla, reported a Caucasian male
dressed all in black with white paint
on his face hit him with a water
balloon through the window of his
vehicle.
And police did not ind the clown.

5:22 a.m. - A caller told dispatch-
ers he wanted a member of the
Morrow County Sherif’s Oice to stop
stalking him.
3:32 p.m. - A caller reported

Fowler, 61, of Forest Grove died Wednesday, Oct. 5,
2016, at her home. Recitation of the rosary will be held
Saturday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral
mass at 10:30 a.m., at Visitation Catholic Church in
Verboort, Ore. A reception will follow at the church
parish hall. A graveside service will be scheduled
for a later date at the Hermiston Cemetery. Duyck &
VanDeHey Funeral Home in Forest Grove handled ar-

Mervin L. “Merv” Grubaugh, 63, of Heppner died
Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, near Echo as the result of an
automobile accident. He was born June 13, 1953, in
Grand Junction, Colo. A graveside service was held
Saturday, Oct. 8, at noon at Cascade Locks Cemetery.

tenced to 2 years probation, 90 sanc-

and $1,250 ine-suspended, plus court
costs and fees.
•Brian Keith Beaty, 28, Kennewick,
Wash., pleaded guilty to Burglary I:
sentenced to 24 months Oregon Dept.
of Corrections, 3 years post-prison su-
pervision and $200 ine-suspended.
•Toni Marie Taylor, 33, Irrigon,
pleaded guilty to Possession of Meth-
amphetamine: sentenced to 6 months
jail, 1 year post-prison supervision,

6 months driver’s license suspension.
•Ray Eugene Wynne, 58, Hermis-
ton, pleaded guilty to two counts of
Theft I: sentenced to 2 years probation,
