PUBLIC SAFETY LOG SUNDAY 12:39 p.m. - A Umatilla man reported the theft of a work bench and a leak detector and identiied the thief. The caller also said the suspect pawned the items on Main Street, Umatilla. SATURDAY 1:51 a.m. - A woman in Umatilla reported a relative she has not spoken with in 13 years sent her a text stating he knew she was home alone. 6:06 a.m. - A caller on North Ott Road, Hermiston, reported her neighbor’s horse keeps coming into her yard and causes damage. 3:20 p.m. - A mother asked the Umatilla County Sherif’s Oice to check on the welfare of her daughter who could be a victim of domestic violence. 3:24 p.m. - A 9-1-1 caller reported a male used a bat to hit another male at West Page Avenue and South Main Street, Stanield. 10:31 p.m. - A man was on the ground in the laundry room near the Irrigon Shell station, 300 Third St. S.E. A caller said the man was intoxicated earlier and tried to buy booze, but the business did not sell to him. FRIDAY 9 a.m. - A caller reported she was on U.S. Forest Service Road 21 near Heppner around noon Thursday when a silver Dodge pickup sped at her and ran her of the road and damaged the passenger side of a Forest Service vehicle. 4:39 p.m. - A Heppner resident asked to speak to a Morrow County sherif’s deputy about the person who keeps feeding her dog. THURSDAY 8:48 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sherif’s Oice received a complaint about puppies barking all day “at the small purple house” on Birtrand Street, Hermistom. The caller also said the owners are gone during the day. 1:41 p.m. - The owner of Five Star Car Wash, East Elm Avenue, Herm- Patricia “Trish” Manley Moses, 69, passed away May 19, 2016, at home to pancreatic cancer after a two-year battle. Trish was born on July 19, 1946, in Weiser, Idaho, to Richard “Dick” and Geraldine “Jeri” Manley. Trish was a beloved wife, moth- er and grandmother and she will be sore- Moses ly missed by all. She gave her husband, Ron Mo- ses, 26 of the best years of their lives together. Trish graduated from Hermiston, Ore., in 1965. For the last 26 years she made her home in Merid- ian, Idaho. Trish worked at Meridian Ford and Dan Wiebold Ford. When she retired, she enjoyed garden- ing and lowers, especially zinnias. Her home was al- ways a showplace. Trish has always had a love for nice fast cars and hot rods. She couldn’t stand a dirty car, which is a trait she inherited from her fa- ther. Her latest was a beau- tiful 1971 Mach I 429 Ram Air; unfortunately, she only had the opportunity to drive it two times around the block due to the cancer. She really loved that car. She is survived by her husband, Ron; daughters Natalie (Rick) Van Cleave, Kimberly Werner, Letha Brown and Travis; brother Del- win Manley; step- sons Trent, Seth and Kyle Moses; grandchildren Megan Katie, Miranda, Brandon, Jacob, Tristen, Austin, Amanda and Rob- ert; special friend Yolon- da Gerosin, who gave her strength in the end; and longtime friends Skip and Karen Shanafelt. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Hermiston Elks Club, 480 E. Main St., Hermiston, Ore. Remembrances may be left for the family at www. COURT REPORT iston, reported someone damaged washing equipment and stole some equipment, and that he has videotape of the incident. 2:38 p.m. - Umatilla County sherif’s deputies were called when a resident of Northeast 10th Street, Hermiston, witnessed a male going through her mailbox. WEDNESDAY 12:45 p.m. - An Irrigon mother asked to talk to a Morrow County sherif’s deputy about restricting a male’s access to her daughter. 1:39 - A woman on the 29500 block of Minnehaha Road, Hermiston, reported two people tried to push her son into the irrigation ditch. This was a trespassing problem. 3:07 p.m. - An Ione woman reported her adult children were cussing at her. 6:21 p.m. - A Umatilla resident told police a man in his late 30s sent her inappropriate text messages. 7 p.m. - A mother at East Harding Avenue and North Wayne Street, Stanield, reported she was working outside and a male over at the neigh- bor’s home, which has a lot of traic, went behind a shed and urinated in front of her 18-year-old daughter. She was born on June 24, 1940 in Great Falls, Mon- tana to Melvin H. Bacon and Martha G. Adams. Bette lived most of her childhood in Colfax, Wash- ington, where she Grogan attended grade school. She attended Pendleton High School, where she enjoyed vol- leyball and other school activities. She spent her senior year at Ukiah High School, where she was active in student gov- ernment and was an all- sports cheerleader. Bette was married twice and had three be- loved children, Tamara, Jeffrey and Dustin. She lived in Stanfield, Ore- gon, for over 50 years, where she loved raising her kids and supporting the small community. Bette worked for the city of Stanfield, Ter- micold and finished her work career with the Umatilla Army Depot as the commander’s secre- tary. She worked with many commanders and retired with over 20 years of service.
