He was a son, soldier, dad, grandpa, brother, un- cle and friend. To us he was dad or grandpa. He always made us feel loved and al- ways told us how much he loved us. He never wanted us to fuss over him but I know he enjoyed it and just liked being with his girls. We finally convinced him to move to Boise, Ida- ho, in March 2015. He loved his home in Ar- lington, Ore., but it was time for him to be closer to his fam- ily. After moving, he was always tell- ing everyone that he was going to be a “tater head.” He was a diehard Boise State fan and was always wearing a BSU T-shirt and hat. Even his dog Walter wore a BSU collar and coat. Alan is survived by his daughters Kara Tucker (Doug) and Stormy Prince (James); his grandchildren Devon and Jenna Prince; the mother of his girls, Bonnie Tucker; his brothers Phil (Sondra), Kent (Cher- yl) and Mark (Myrna); sev- eral nephews and nieces; and his dog Walter.
