Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, in Bend. Viewing for family and
friends will be held Friday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to 5
p.m. at Burns Mortuary of Hermiston. Graveside funer-
al services will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. at
the Hermiston Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the
ARC Umatilla County, 215 W. Orchard Ave., Hermis-

Cliff Edward Bak-
er was born February 8,
1957. He passed away at
his home in Ontario, Ore.
He loved life and did
everything with a smile
on his face. If you knew
him you loved him. He
enjoyed many things in-
cluding golfing, BBQ,
fishing, playing his guitar,
being with his family and
being a papa to his grand-
son. He worked hard on
everything he did and had
pride in all that he did. He
will be missed by all that
knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death
by his father William

Zevia Jane Baker. He is
survived by his brothers

McNary for all that knew
and loved him. God is
great. Beer is good. Peo-
ple are crazy.
Rafaela Denis Larios, 69,
of Hermiston, Oregon, passed
away on Friday, October 2,
2015, in Richland, Washington.
Rafaela was born in El
Naranjo,
Jalisco,
Mexico, on October 3,
1945.
Rafaela worked as
a general laborer for:
Smith Frozen Foods,
Watermill Foods and
AgriNorthwest
for
various years. She en- Larios
joyed spending time
with her family, trips to Wild-
horse, and gardening.
Rafaela is survived by 10
children: Esther Mendoza,
Rosalba Mendoza, Guiller-
mina Mendoza, Raul Men-
doza, Jose Mendoza, Martha
Lopez, Leticia Mendoza,
Carmen Mendoza, Carlos
Mendoza and Javier Mendo-
za; grandchildren
Maria, Rosa, Idelfonso,
Jaime, Luz, Adriana, Ros-
ita, Sergio, Ivan, Jazmin,
Daniela, Edgar, Ulises, So-
nia, David, Natalia, Ruben,
Ismael, Susan, Josue, Gen-
esis, Josue, Ilse, Salomon,
Issaiah, Esmeralda, Xenia,
Arianna, Daniel, Samara,
Lili, Sophia and Ezequiel;
and great-grandchildren Mi-
guel, Ana, Jeriko, Alberto,

• A caller reported someone was outside her
bedroom window on Northwest 10th Place.
• Someone reportedly stole the license plates,
CK84800, from a pickup on West Walls Road.
• A four-wheeler was reportedly stolen on
Cowlitz Avenue in Umatilla.
• A man reported someone broke the window
of his pickup and stole checkbooks while he was
fishing on Umatilla River Road.
SATURDAY, OCT. 10
• A window was reportedly broken out of a
vehicle parked in a lot on South Highway 395.
• Someone reportedly damaged a sliding glass
door trying to enter a residence on Westview Drive.
• A caller reported a vehicle crashed into a
house on Southwest Seventh Place.
• A man reportedly hit a woman in the head in a
parking lot on Southwest 11th Street.
• Someone was reportedly in an apartment on
West Sunland Avenue while the tenant was out of
town.
• Someone reportedly stole four marijuana
plants from a residence on Wenatchee Street in
Umatilla.
FRIDAY, OCT. 9
• A caller reported hearing one gunshot on West
Orchard Avenue.
• A male was reportedly looking inside vehicles
in a parking lot on West Orchard Avenue.
• At Good Shepherd Medical Center on North-
west 11th Street, a nurse reported a man, who had
been physically aggressive toward the staff, was
locked in a bathroom and refused to leave.
• An intoxicated man was reportedly causing
a disturbance at a residence on East Coe Avenue in
Stanfield.

• A caller reported a man used a ladder to climb
through the window of a residence on East Montana
Avenue and, while the caller was still on the phone,
took off running toward Fifth Street without the
ladder.
• Three cows reportedly crossed the river to
Riverfront Park on Southwest 23rd Street.
• A man was reportedly running around on the
roof of a business on North First Street.
• Four people were reportedly drinking beer
and smoking something outside a business on
South Highway 395.
• On Thelma Court in Stanfield, a caller reported
she was followed home by two men in a small red
car claiming to be Oregon marshals.
• Someone reportedly stole hay and tools on
Scaplehorn Road in Umatilla.

• The manager of a motel on North First Street
reported suspicious activity all night.
• Someone reported having video of subjects
stealing plants from a business on North First Street.
• A caller reported a man was irate and yelling
in the city manager’s office on Northeast Second
Street.
• Two male juveniles were reportedly scratching
cars on East Dogwood Avenue.
• A man reportedly assaulted a woman on
Umatilla River Road in Umatilla.
