A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 30 at 1 p.m. in the Burns Mortuary chapel PUBLIC SAFETY LOG THURSDAY, MAY 28 • A teenager with a backpack was reportedly prowling around a residence on East Sunset Drive. • On Southwest 13th Place, a male and a female were UHSRUWHGO\¿JKWLQJDQGWKHPDOHZDVFXWWLQJKLPVHOI • People were reportedly throwing eggs at vehicles on the Powerline Road Overpass of Interstate 82. • A caller reported his neighbor’s cows were out and eat- ing his asparagus on West Highland Avenue. • A caller reported a male was asking odd questions and then began taking off his clothes on Yakima Street in Umatilla. • A male reportedly tried to jump on a train near Coe Ave- QXHLQ6WDQ¿HOG WEDNESDAY, MAY 27 • On Northwest 11th Street, a caller reported he was intoxicated and seeing things. He then stated he was in front of the hospital and would go there. • A caller reported a male was suspiciously looking under cars in a parking lot at Sunset Elementary School on East Catherine Avenue. • A caller reported four males in an older dark green Chevrolet Tahoe were trying to sell carpet cleaners and were insistent about getting into a residence on Diane Court. • A male reportedly punched a female in the face in a white van on Southwest 12th Street. • On Southwest 11th Street, a female reported receiving the third scam call this week from someone claiming to be from the U.S. Treasury Department stating a warrant would be issued for her arrest if she didn’t pay money. • A caller reported that his son told him that a horse fell out of a trailer being hauled by a white pickup that did not stop on East Diagonal Boulevard. TUESDAY, MAY 26 • A child was reportedly cornered by two Labradors on East Newport Avenue. • On West Fulton Avenue, a female reported her children’s father has been giving her children “vape pens and other similar items.” She said he is the reason they always get into trouble. • A caller reported a male was sitting in a vehicle driver’s seat with a “large butcher knife, cutting on things, giving peo- ple odd looks.” • On Southwest Sage Drive, a caller reported a male across the street behind a wooden fence was yelling that he was being held against his will. • A caller reported a male driving a Jeep Cherokee ran into a child on a bicycle on North First Street. The caller said he then picked the child up and placed in him the car along with the bicycle. • A caller reported a young male was walking back and forth carrying a knife in front of a business on South Highway 395. • A caller reported sev- eral people were snooping around her house and car on Northeast Second Place. • A landlord reported a tenant being evicted tried to run over the landlord on North Townsend Road. • A caller reported three males were breaking into cars in a parking lot on Third Street in Umatilla and steal- ing items.
