And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.’ “I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. “I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state swel- tering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. ...” — From Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, quoted by Hermiston City Manager Byron Smith Medford 56/38 Pendleton 40/29 Hermiston 41/29 La Grande 38/27 Bend 44/29 Ontario 35/24 Burns 40/26 Klamath Falls 48/30 Area Cities City Albany Ashland Astoria Baker City Bend Brookings Burns Coos Bay Corvallis Eugene Hi 50 54 53 33 44 59 40 60 50 51 Lo Cond. 39 foggy 39 mst sunny 42 cloudy 22 sunny 29 mst sunny 46 pt sunny 26 sunny 45 pt sunny 39 foggy 38 foggy City Florence Grants Pass Hermiston John Day Klamath Falls La Grande Lakeview Lincoln City Mcminnville Medford Hi 57 52 41 41 48 38 47 57 50 56 Lo Cond. 44 pt sunny 38 pt sunny 29 mst sunny 26 sunny 30 mst sunny 27 sunny 26 mst sunny 45 cloudy 40 foggy 38 mst sunny City Newport Pendleton Portland Redmond Roseburg Salem Springfield The Dalles Tillamook Vale Hi 56 40 51 45 54 50 55 43 58 32 Lo Cond. 45 pt sunny 29 sunny 41 foggy 31 mst sunny 40 foggy 39 foggy 40 pt sunny 34 pt sunny 42 foggy 25 pt sunny City Houston Los Angeles Miami Minneapolis New York Hi 64 73 79 32 34 Lo Cond. 55 cloudy 50 sunny 68 pt sunny 24 cloudy 29 cloudy City Phoenix San Francisco Seattle St. Louis Washington, DC Hi 70 64 49 48 37 Lo Cond. 45 pt sunny 48 mst sunny 43 pt sunny 31 mst sunny 33 mixed National Cities City Atlanta Boston Chicago Dallas Denver Hi 61 31 34 62 29 Lo Cond. 34 sunny 27 mst sunny 26 sn shower 44 pt sunny 8 sn shower Moon Phases UV Index Wed New First Full Last Jan 20 Jan 27 Feb 3 Feb 12 ©2010 American Profile Hometown Content Service Thu The Oregon Judicial Depart- ment is looking for volunteers who would serve on the Umatil- la and Morrow County Citizen Review Boards.
