As your Chamber of Commerce plans for a new year, I would like to encourage you to set a not so dreaded resolution for yourselves and your business this year. Each month, we hold a monthly membership luncheon at the Port of Morrow. These luncheons feature time to network with local business members and listen to great speakers addressing the economic, political and social issues of our community and region. In recent months, attendance at these lunches has decreased. A lot of times I hear the familiar excuses of not wanting to take time away from work or simply forgetting the lunch all together. Let me offer you a few reasons why you should be attending our lunches; 1. Receive first hand community information on subjects vital to your business. 2. Be informed on local issues that affect your business. 3. Network with local business and community members about topics important to you. 4. Gain knowledge about new insights and listen to informed speakers. 5. Understand the local resources that can increase your company’s image, branding, and influence on the local business sector. 6. You get to eat a great meal with great people! I hope to see you all at out monthly luncheons in the year to come. We have new and exciting things to share with each other. Make some time to visit us and lets do lunch in 2015!
