Co., do .............. 5.41 C re : 2« ach CHRIST- MAS as comes and that love is the only binding power of the world. In these dark days of late Decem ber when the bright ness of smiles make ample amends for lack of brightness overhead, we again send our most hearty Christmas Greetings. E goes proves it anew s DR. F. B. BELT § Here is a suggestion for the young men and ladies, around 10 or 15, who have been saving their money for mother’s Christmas present, yet don’t know what to get for her: Get her a Christinas plant! She’ll enjoy it as much as any of the many others. Of all the Christmas plants, the one which tru ly reflects the sea son of the year (almost as much as the Christmas tree) is the poin settia. This red- leafed plant has a soft, yet force ful, beauty to it that has, as yet, failed to attract the eye of those who are suscepti ble to any form of color. Other red flowers are popular, loo, but not as easily obtainable as the pleasant poinset- tia. There is the Jerusalem cher ry, the red cycla men. If you do pur chase mother a poinsettia set it in an attractive colored pot (wrap it in colored Christmas paper) and tie a little red ribbon with a bow on it. That will put the “finishing touch”, to a Christmas gift that is different. COUNTY COURT Though everyone’s preoccupied So many things to do, We can’t pass up this chance to greet Our good friends, old and new. He who has no friends, though he may have amassed a fortune, cannot be happy. We have many friends in this area— friends from many years back as well as friends who have become friends during this past year. These friendships are a great source of pride and happiness to us. : I 1 ’ . , ‘ , 4 " 1 < , : , To all these friends we wish a very Merry Christmas Season. f Hermiston Dry Cleaners . - R.
