LICENSE MAN COMING NOV. 1 A traveling examiner of opera tors and chauffeurs is scheduled to arrive in Hermiston Wednesday, November 1, and will be on duty at the Legion hall between the hours of 10:00 a. m. and 4:00 p. m., according to a recent announce ment released from the Secretary of State's office. All those wishing permits or licenses to drive cars are asked to get in touch with the examiner during these hours. DEMONSTRATION MEETING OCT. 31 Troop 7, Brownies, youngest group of the local Girl Scouts, en joyed a hike and wiener roast re cently. The girls hiked south of the golf course to the hill, with about 10 youngsters and their lead er, Mrs. Chas. Friday, participat ing. Cakes were baked by Mrs. Wal ter Pearson and Mrs. Virgil Os born.
