Mr. Harr formerly owned and operated the Columbia Cafe. Miss Agnes Kennedy left Friday for La Grande where she will start nurses training at the Eastern Oregon Normal and St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Ostrom and sons Gary and Vane spent Satur day afternoon and Sunday in La Grande at the home of Mrs. Os trom's sister, Mrs. V. D. Bramer. They spent Sunday morning hunt ing. Mrs. Walter Eckert returned the first of the week from Spokane where she had spent some time. Tuesday they left for Portland and other coast cities to visit before McCart ney goes to work over at Pasco. Jameson will return to his home after a visit here. Mrs. Arzie Smith and children Robbin and Rodney left Saturday for Seattle where she will make her home with her sister, Mrs. Ralph Sullivan. Herbert McNabb left the 30th for Farragut, Idaho, where he will beein his naw training. Mrs. Josephine Liedloff of Cali fornia is here visiting her sons John and Edward at the John Lied loff home. Mrs. John Liedloff returned to her home here after spending sev eral davs with her mother, who is in ill health at Connell. Milo McFarland brought in the first deer of the season.
