Mrs. Glen Anderson and baby son left the Hermiston General hospital Monday for their home. Mrs. Alton Kingsbury of Neotsu. Ore., spent Tuesday and Wednesday as a business visitor here. Mrs. Earl Watson and family moved to Spokane last week to be near her husband who is in the navy. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Nye and Mrs. J. H. Nye and family are spending some time at Wallowa Lake. Mrs. Smiley Bean and daughter. Hope Reynolds, moved to Portland Monday where Mr. Bean is employed. Mrs. T. J. Panages was a medical patient at the Hermiston General hos pital from Friday until Sunday. Ted Hodge returned last week from Spokane and Sun Valley, Idaho, where he visited his brother. Jack Hodge. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Blessing of Portland spent Monday with friends in Hermiston. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wilcox spent Sunday and Monday fishing at Celilo Falls. Mrs. Georgia Henderson was a med ical patient at the Hermiston General hospital Sunday and Monday. Mrs. Frank Helms arrived Monday for a visit with her daughter. Mrs. Fred Rauch. Pfc. Howard H. Miller, son of Ches ter Miller of Hermiston, recently ar rived safely in England with the armed forces. Mary Lou Madison was taken to Walla Walla Wednesday for an ap pendectomy. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Guening of Butter Creek will leave tomorrow for Portland where they will make their home. Mrs. C. E. Baker returned home last Thursday from a six weeks visit at Manchester, Wash., and Eugene Ore., with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Doty moved back to their home in Caldwell, Ida.. Saturday. Mr. Doty was employed at the U. O. D. here. Mrs. J. E. King and baby daughter Judith Elaine returned to their home from the Hermiston General hospital Monday. Mrs. Emma Ripley, mother of Glenn Ripley, suffered a stroke Wednesday and was taken to the Hermiston hos pital Thursday morning. Mrs. Earl Briggs and Mrs. Ther- man Martin, both of Boardman, are pneumonia patients at the local hos- pita). Mrs. Ralph Barlow, who is em- ployed at Hermiston General hospital, was on vacation last week. Unfor tunately she was ill most of the week. John Bensel of Portland was in Hermiston this week visiting relatives and friends. Mr. Bensel has been employed in Portland since May. Miss Rebekah Pierson. Vernon Wade and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Shaw were among those present at the Roundup parade in Pendleton last Saturday evening. Mrs. Robert Scott (Molly Ann Rip ley) and son Bobby Joe arrived this week from Lupus. Mo., where they have been visiting at the home of her mother-in-law. Her husband, Corp. Robert Scott, is with the armed forces overseas.
