Friday & Saturday John McElroy, stationed at Shepard June 2 & 3 Field, Texas, formerly of Hermiston, recently spent a portion of a 15-day DOUBLE FEATURE furlough here visiting friends. Mrs. Uina Rae Cleveland came this week to visit for a short time at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. G. McCulley. Mrs. Cleveland just completed a year’s teaching in the Sandy schools. They moved into the house recently purchased ANN HARDING from Jack House. News has been received locally that Sam McCracken, Hermiston youth, has recently been commissioned as Second Lieutenant, U. S. Army Air I Corps, and transferred to Randolph Field, Texas, where he will be sta tioned for further training.
