J. Warner Bill Warner will be greatly missed by the com munities of the west end of Umatilla county. He had served as attorney for several towns, school districts and farm organizations, and had formed intimate acquaintance with many citizens who held him in high regard for his legal capacity and genial quali ties. Few men acquire and maintain such high re spect through such a long period of years as did W. J. Warner. Hermiston and other communities should feel fortunate for having had a citizen of such high qual ities for so many years, and we regret deeply his untimely passing. He was of the type of men who preferred the smaller community to that of a great city for which his talents and education prepared him. He was known for his honesty and fair deal ing and for often appeasing his clients who were bent on going into court. He will long be remember ed by many friends and his familiar figure, pleasant smile and cordial ways will be missed long on Main street It is with much pain and sorrow that we find it necessary to pay this final homage to such a long time worthy citizen and lovable character.
