Noon Recreation Program Started Noon activities got underway last week. Mondays and Thursdays are in charge of Mr. Davison and Mr. Humphreys with boys’ intramural basketball; Tuesday, Miss Lynch has girls’ intramural basketball; Wednes days and Fridays, the gym is used for dancing with Miss Brunquist and Mrs. Bracher in charge. SENIOR SERVICE SCOUTS MEET Monday night the Senior Service Scouts, Troop No. 1, held their meet ing at the U.S.O. After their bus iness meeting they enjoyed an infor mal banquet. The officers who con duct the meetings are: La Desea Pie per, president; Joy Reed, vice presi dent; Melba Kelly, treasurer; Doris Ann Daugherty, secretary. The next project for the troop will be a ten weeks First Aid course with Mr. T. J. Means as instructor. Miss Marie Cooper, the troop leader, is as sisted by Mrs. T. J. Means. Under her direction the girls who do not take First Aid will roll bandages for the Umatilla Ordnance Depot hospital. GIRLS SCHEDULE COURT TOURNEY The first game of the girls’ intra mural basketball tournament was played last Thursday in the gym. The two teams playing were La Desea Pieper’s and Jo Ann Graves’. High score was won by La Desca’s team. On January 18 Alice Geer’s and Doris Ann Daugherty’s teams will play. The four teams are listed below: Captain: La Desea Pieper; for wards, Dorma Kelly, Ilene Blodgett, Louise Hammer, Nancy Jo Wines; guards, L. V. McGraw, Marilyn Hud son, Ramona Tuftland, Joan Bryson.
