Mrs. Brewer and children will visit at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs W. J. Osborn at Wild er. Idaho. Mr. Brewer will take an inspection course at Fredreckson, New Jersey. Mrs. Rose Hedrick, librarian, is pleased to report that the circulation of children’s books has increased from 22% to 41% during the past three months. Mrs. Paul Baker and Terry have returned home after six weeks visit in Colorado, Wyoming and Washing ton. Mr and Mrs. Bob Myers of The Dalles and their nephew Bill Myers of Long Beach, Cal., spent Sunday at the home of their niece and sister. Mrs. Albert Vieg and husband. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Newgard spent Saturday afternoon in Pasco visiting at the John McGrawl home. Mr. and Mrs. Ursel Hiatt and Ollie Coryell spent Friday in Pendleton. Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Cramer and daughter of the valley are spending a few days here with his mother, Mrs. Glaydce Baymiller. H. B. Hull left Friday with Olaf Stangeby on a ten day leave from his store here. Mr Hull has been in the grocery and dry goods business for nearly 25 years and is selling the gro ceries and from then on will carry only dry goods. Kenny Olson spent Monday after- noon in La Grande visiting his par ents. He left his automobile to have some work done on it. Clarence Guerin went to Spokane Thursday and brought home his three daughters, Kathleen, Pat and Jean, who will spend the summer with him after attending school in Spokane.
