Mr. and Mrs. A. Gisinger are the
parents of a baby girl born November
28 at the local hospital. The little
girl has been named Shirley Marie,
and weighed six pounds, four ounces.

Fred Hensel was sworn in Tuesday
in Walla Walla as an aviation cadet,
enlisting in the air corps reserve. No
date has been set for his call but is
expected within the next six months.
He recently passed a rigid examina­
tion to qualify for the appointment.
Mrs. A. H. Norton entertained at
bridge Tuesday in honor of Mrs. Su­
san Jordan. Mrs. E. P. Dodd won
high score and Mrs. J. G. Pearson won
second.
Miss Abbie Mills of Portland be­
gan work December 1 in the office of

Miss Marion Pierce arrived home
this week from Edgemont, South Da­
kota, where she has been employed
with J. A. Terteling & Sons.
Mrs. E. P. Dodd entertained last
week in honor of Mrs. Susan Jordan
of Los Angeles. High score was won
