Warner as administrator of the es tate of James Gannon, deceased, has filed his final account in said estate in the County Court of the State of Oregon for Umatilla County, and said court has fixed Monday, the 1st day of June, 1942, at 2:00 o’clock p. m. of said day, as the time for hear ing of objections to said final account and the settlement thereof. (Apr. 30-May 28) In the several districts over the North Central states where drouth was a seri- ous factor in 1941, Kings- crost stood out as a remark- many instances Kingscrost showed good yields cellent quality corn when other corns in the vicinity were near failure. Every year drouth is a serious risk. with four errors. These girls receiv- ed certificates “in recognition of su- perior skill in typing." Competent Typist pins, small gold pins with the letters ‘C" and “T” on them were given to those students | who typed 50 words a minute with | five errors or less. The following students have earned their pins: Dorothy Knox, Dola Mae Daugherty, and Florence Kow- itz. Certificates were received by Wanda Dunning, whose score was 46, Barbala Connor. 45, and Thelma Holmquist, 43. The Internatonal Rules for check- ng timed writes are used, and no test is sent in for award if it contains more than five errors. March copy is accepted April 25, and a number of the other students’ tests are being mailed this week. Announcement of their awards will be made later.
