OREGON BOARDMAN NEWS Ry Elaine Eigher Mrs. Ellen Flickenger, who has been ill for some time at the home of her sister, Mrs. Elmer Messenger, passed away at 8:00 o’clock Sunday morning. Mrs. Flickenger has lived here about 20 years and was loved by all. She is survived by her hus band Mike Flickenger, and sister, Mrs. Mary Messenger, and niece Lois Messenger here, and by other rela tives in California and in the East. The funeral is to be held at the Com munity church Wednesday at 2:00 o’clock. Interment is to be in the Boardman cemetary. Lois Messenger returned from Portland Sunday. She was accoin- '¡anied by her brother and family, M r, and Mrs. W. Messenger of Port- land. Word was received by Mr. and Mrs. John Fisher of the death of their granddaughter, Elizabeth Lee Bond, the two months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Bond of Haines. Virginia Compton of The Dalles was visiting friends here Sunday. Angela DeMauro went to Echo for a week’s visit with her friend, Mar ian I.uciani. M rs. H. Mrs. Charles Rosalind took her daughter Norma to The Dalles Sat urday for medical treatments. The missionary meeting is post poned this week because of the fun eral that afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Parry of Stan field and daughter and son-in-law were calling on old friends here Sunday. Alvin Deulan drove to The Dalles Sunday to visit his father who is in the hospital there and found him much improved. Mr. and Mrs. John Healy of Hepp ner visited at the Mike Healy home Sunday. The Campbell family of Lexington visited at the home of Mrs. Blanch Jones Sunday. A very successful Vacation Bible school is being held at the Communi ty church.
