Mrs. Walter Smith of the Hermis
ton Trading Co. suffered severe
bruises Wednesday afternoon when
she tripped on a stairways into the
basement at the store. She received
a painful shoulder injury among oth
er minor bruises.

Members of the Columbia Grange
will sponsor a “Sunflower Social” on
Friday, September 20, at the Colum
bia hall. The ladies will wear print
dresses, sunbonnets or garden hats,
while the men will wear overalls or
