Everyone born in America, and all those who become her citizens, have a precious legacy. Coming so easily its value is not always under stood, nor appreciated. We can only measure its value after we lose it. When we read the Declaration of Independence, and visit Valley Forge, Bunker Hill and Yorktown, we realize that thousands gave their lives that we might have what we now enjoy. Of all the governments on the earth, not one other can endow its people with the wealth of free dom, independence and opportunity, that is now the free inheritance of every American citizen. Today more than one hundred million people are the heirs to the greatest gift to mankind. The sacrifices of our forefathers made possible the greatest nation of the earth, this living monu ment to the liberation of the mind. To preserve it we must protect it by constant vigilance. Our honored dead loved America; they died for it. We Americans should love it by living for it gloriously, by upholding its traditions, and defend ing its principles. Let us also love America for the inspiration it gives to countless millions, who hope some day to achieve what we now have. It is our privilege to be citizens of a country whose light of liberty shines for all the people of the earth. IT’S GOOD TO BE AN AMERICAN. Note: The above was received by W. L. Hamm, local druggist, distributed through the American Druggists Syndicate. LA N D S A L E NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That the undersigned.
