FRANK MARKHAM. Frank Markham, born July 24 1857, in Kansas, passed away Tues day in the Hermiston General hospi tal. Mr. Markham would have been 82 years on July 24. He came to Oregon when he was 21 years old and has lived in Mor row and Umatilla counties since. He married Mrs. Laura Fulford Oliver in Pendleton in 1889. Mr. Markham is survived by three sons. Marshal Momoe and Lawrence C. of Irrigon and Fred of Richland, Wn„ three step-children, John Oli ver, Echo, Jess Oliver, Valley, Wn and Mrs. Dolly Hopfie, Vancouver, Wn.; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thurs day afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at Ir rigon. Burial was at Echo. We promised to tell you when the iris gardens in Grandview will be at their best, and have heard from the management there that the peak of the display will be from the 10th to the 20th of May.
