Mrs. J. C. Cross of Brewster, Wn., visited relatives in Irrigon last week. Rev. and Mrs. Dwight Brown left for Freewater Saturday where they will conduct revival meetings. Johnny Swearingen had the mis fortune to cut two of his fingers se verely while chopping kindling Thursday evening. A seven pound baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Hoaglan last Thursday at the home of Mrs. Howard Montgomery in Hermiston. The baby was named Frances. Bert Dexter built a new brooder house on his property in town last week and purchased 400 baby chicks. New Hampshire reds, from Mrs. W. L. Suddarth. Miss Ruth Hayes of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho, is a guest of Mrs. Tom Caldwell. Dan Hill is taking Mrs. Fred Rieks to Pendleton several times each week for medical treatment. Rev. Carl Alquist left Friday for his home at Vale, Ore. Mrs. Wilson accompanied him on the trip. The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bedwell is quite ill with a cold. Mr. and Mrs. John Voile moved into their new house last week. Mr. and Mrs. M. Hoaglan visited their daughter, Mrs. Brown at Stan field. Mr. and Mrs. Valias Dexter of La Grande visited relatives and friends here last week. ■» Mr. and Mrs. James Warner were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Geo, Rand Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Isom motored to Prosser, Wn., Tuesday, bringing home 200 ten-day-old pullets from the Henacres hatchery at Prosser.
