Hoover, district Boy Scout executive, was here recently discussing with local troop leaders an outline for the troop’s organiza tion program. Earl Watson was appointed scout master, and Harold Thompson will serve as a metnber of the troop com mittee. Other members are Dr. F. B. Belt, chairman, A1 Qulring and Julius Gimble. Scout meetings are held every Tuesday at 7:30 p. m., |n the Legion hall. The local post of the American Legion is sponsoring the organiza tion. Wilbur of Pilot Rock arrived last week for a visit with her mpther, Mrs. .Mabel Weeks. Miss Martha Walther is home af ter being employed at Stanfield for several weeks. A. R. Blinston has lumber on the ground for a new brooder house. The Blinstons expect to increase their New Hampshire Red flock. Mrs. C. E. Hadley spent Wednes day afternoon with Mrs. W. B. Horace Hodges and son Stanley, Mrs. Lester Hammer, Louise and Teddy Hammer were Walla Walla visitors Sunday. They had dinner with Mrs. Hammer’s sister, Mrs. G. Thomas. The Jonquils and daffodils are ¡displaying their gorgeous spring I colors to the world this week. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hammer gave a dinner Monday honoring Mr. ¡Lester Hammer, father of Carl i Hammer, on his birthday.
