Members holding low score for the year were hostesses and provided an afternoon of hilar ity for the guests and members. They were Mesdames Margaret Daughtry, F. S. Green, F. B. Stuart. C. M. McCall, Tom Gregory and Miss Elva Berry. Guests and substitute players for the afternoon included the Mesdames Ed Leisegang, J. W. Kessler, M. Refvem, W. M. Marbut, Dill Penney and T. G. Elliot. Mrs. N. D. Bard won first prize and guest prizes were also presented. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Pratt, who are attending the University of Washington in Seattle, will arrive December 17 to spend their holiday vacation at the Byron Brown home. The Echo-Stanfield Home Ec Unit will meet in the church parlors at 1:30 Friday, December 16, when Mrs. Roscoe Myers and Mrs. Homer Hedrick will demonstrate meat sun dries cookery. The Study club met at the F. B. Stuart home Thursday afternoon with Mrs. H. L. Hedrick presiding. Plans were made for the Christmas luncheon to be held In the Hl-Way cafe at 1:00 o’clock, Wednesday, December 21, with entertainment features at the L. Jounnault home immediately after the luncheon. The program consisted of short sketches of Wright Brothers by Mrs. W. T. Reeves; Marconi by Mrs. Troy Cole man, and comments on Shaw’s “Road to Happiness” by Mrs. H. L.
