Local Happenings OASIS THEATRE “SWING YOUR LADY” Guy Moore of Pine City and Lu cille Jones of Boardman, who were chosen outstanding 4- h club boy and girl of Morrow county, have been attending the Pacific Interna tional exposition in Portland as guests of the First National Bank of Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Earle Richardson and daughter Vivian of Dallas, Ore. and R. J. Beck of Corvallis, spent the week end in Hermiston visiting Mr. and Mrs. A1 Quiring and Miss Pauline Stoop. The men spent their time hunting. Mr. Richardson is editor of the Itemizer-Observer at Dallas and Mr. Beck is connected with the O.S.C. extension service. Mrs. Arietta White entertained Friday and Saturday of last week at two bridge dessert luncheons. The rooms were made lovely by huge bouquets of fall flowers. Honors went to Mrs. A. H. Norton and Miss Mary Petri and second high to Mrs. E. D. Martin and Mrs. Alice Stone. Mrs. J. E. Saylor and Mrs. W. L. Morgan entertained Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at dessert bridge. Five tables each day were placed in a setting amid tall flowers. High honors went to Mrs. Wm. Shaar and Mrs. Neil Robertson, and second high to Mrs. George Harken- rider and Mrs. R. C.
