ing period, it took 10.73 pounds of
feed for each pound of gain d u rin g
the seventh m onth of feeding.
Feed costs a re reduced some 25
per cent w here tu rk ey s have free
ran g e on a lfa lfa or sim ilar green
feed, Bennion added. He also urged
the sep aratio n of hens and tom s be­
fore tlje fin ish in g season and th e
m a rk e tin g of th e hens before the
toms, as they m a tu re earlier.
