She is m aking th e trip w ith Mr. Jenderson of P h ilipsburg who moved the house hold goods of Mr. and Mrs. H arvey DeMoss here and is re tu rn in g home a f te r spending a week on th e pro ject. H is a friend of th e B linston fam ily. M axine, who expects to be gone about two weeks, w ill visit relatives and friends. J. H. R yland is believed to have th e first w aterm elons ready for ¡m ark et on th e project, and perhaps the first in the state. Between two and th ree tons w ere picked Tuesday by the melon pickers. Mrs. J. H. R yland left Tuesday for a w eek’s v isit w ith h er sister- in-law , Mrs. Hoof, in W alla W alla. Mrs. H attie K enney of Joseph, Ore., came Monday for a w eek’s vis it a t th e H enry H ooker home. She lived here a few years ago. She has been v isitin g a d au g h ter a t P ine h u rst, W n., and is on h e r retu rn trip. The first w edding an n iv ersary of Mr. and Mrs. H arvey DeMoss was celebrated Sunday at the Jo h n De Moss home.
