y ea r's convention an d was in ses­
sion a t various tim es th ro u g h o u t
th e th ree days before and d u rin g th e
convention.

C. E. C arter, rep rese n tin g th e wes­
te rn division of th e AAA, an d giv in g
o p p o rtu n ity to all to express th e ir
opinions, th e com m ittee adopted an
11-point program , w hich w as con­
firm ed by th e convention w ith o u t
m a terial change,

The program advanced by th e

u atio n of present a g ric u ltu ra l con­
serv atio n
program s, supplem ented
by a v o lu n tary acreag e control plan,

w h eat grow ers them selves. Follow ­
ing is an o u tlin e of th e 11-point pro­
gram u rged by th e convention:

rax treatm ent for tuberculosis, a pain­
less method used widely in this coun­
try since 1912. Pneumo means air and
thorax refers to the chest, and the pro­
cedure is to inject a gas into the space
between the chest wall and outer sur­
