Wa<|e, d istric t m anager, would be unable to speak a t th e m eeting as scheduled because of sudden illness. He was reported to have been taken to th e H ot Lake S an itariu m . A. C. M cIntyre, d istric t atto rn ey , Rex Ellis, s ta te senator, and Toni H ettle, all of P endleton, were pres en t at th e m eeting and gave short talk s as they were introduced. C. W. Michael of club No. 40 of P o rtland, w as present and gave a talk. Music by the Sage Brush W ran g lers of S tanfield was enjoyed. Boys com posing th e group a re George M cDerm ott, Don Refvem, Raymond Meade, Raym ond Beebe. Billy P en ney, an o th er m em ber of th e group, w as not present. O ther num bers on the program in cluded an accordion solo by Miss T helm a Shipp; a m onologue by Mrs. W. G. D yer; a piano and harm onica selection by Jesse P rln d le; a re c ita tion by Mrs. W. T. K napp; and voc al solo by Miss Lois H utchison. A rug made by th e club ladies was raffled off to b rin g a good sum. Delicious refresh m en ts were serv ed.
