giving each m ule a day ’s rest, in

sandy roads. A y ea r la te r he b ought
a model T F ord pick-up, and in ’29
a model A; la te r he purchased a
V-8, u sin g a to ta l of nine cars in
th e service.

b u t plans to dispose of it soon. She
h as resigned her position as teacher
in th e H erm iston Union h igh school
a f te r many years of service.
Mr. a n d Mrs. Guy A m sberry have
operated the store since A ugust 7th,
1933, and a re lo c atin g a t Blaine,
W n., w here they have purchased a n
o th e r variety store. They are leav
in g th is locality because of the ill
ness of th e ir son, feeling th a t his
h e a lth w ill be b e tte r in th e coast

been active in civic and com m unity

ton. Mrs. A m sberry has been presi

lia ry and an active m em ber of other
civic groups. Mr. A m sberry is an
activ e L egionnaire and h as served
