Both are students of the Northwest Chris tian college at Eugene. Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Watson plan to leave Friday for Boise. Idaho, where they will spend the fourth with their son Earl who is employed there for the summer, and other relatives. Kenneth Knerr will ac- "ompany them. Dr. and Mrs. G. L. Gordan are house guests of Dr. Gordan’s moth- r. Mrs. L W. Douglas, who lives southeast of Hermiston. Dr. Gordan is Just returning from Kirksville. Missouri, where he has been study ing surgery. They expect to be here until after the Fourth of July. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Throop of Yachats, Ore., are visiting here un til after the Fourth of July. They will be accompanied on the return trip by Mrs. Throop’s mother and brother. Mrs. Ralph Shafer and son Wilford, who will spend two weeks there. Mrs. Wm. Griffith of Vale, Ore., arrived Saturday evening and is vi siting her sister, Mrs. R. Wilkes, and niece. Mrs. John Knox, until after the Fourth. She will then go to Sa lem to visit other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Norton and son Malcolm, who have been here for several days, returned to Mt. Vernon, Ore., Tuesday after look ing after business here and visiting friends.
