Mrs. Faler has been in Portland for some time where she has been recovering from an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Brice Dillabough and family were at the Nate Macom ber home for dinner Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Nate Macomber took Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Pettys back to their home in Reith Saturday. Ma combers returned home Sunday. Mrs. Bill La Londe and two child ren from Medford arrived in Board man Saturday for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Ayers. Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson of La Grande are the parents of a baby daughter. Mrs. Wilson is remem bered here as Gloria Wicklander. The Odd Fellows went to Pendle- ton Saturday where the new mem- bers received the rest of the initia- tion work. School has been closed for this week in order to check scarlet fever. Doctor Rice was in town Sunday and examined every child who has been ill.
