Darling returned last Fri day from Portland after undergoing the second operation for removal of cataracts from his eyes. He has hopes of regaining clearer vision fol lowing the operation. Mrs. F. M. Guiwits returned from Pendleton Tuesday of last week where she has been since the first of the year preparing the ballot boxes for the election, January 31, which is part of the routine ork at the county court house each year. Mrs. Lena Lage and daughter Willa Jean and Carrie, and Paul Seeliger of Walla Walla attended the Westland dance Saturday night. Mrs. B. A. Doyle and infant son Roger Michael are expected to re turn Saturday, February 1st, when Mr. Doyle will motor to Yakima for them. Roger Michael was born Jan- urary 16 at the home of Mrs. Doyle's parents in Yakima.
