A lovely din ner waa served after which the vari ous booths were opened. At 8:30 a Hokus-Pokus comedy program was given in the church. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Waite of Troutdale spent the week end in Boardman. On Friday evening they were guests at the S. C. Russell home and on Saturday night at the Ray Brown home. They visited a number of friends while here. Willard Baker spent the week end in La Grande and Baker. His Grand- father Baker returned to Boardman with him for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Johnson spent the week end here at the A. R. Bar- low home. They returned to Wasco Monday. A large number of children are out of school this week because of illness. Miss Katie DePinto and George Wicklander, Jr., of Boardman were married at Walla Walla Saturday. Mrs. Wicklander is the sister of Mrs. Veto Collosso with whom she has Castle been making her home Rock, and Mr. Wicklander is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wicklander of Boardman. The Community Christmas pro gram will be held in the school audi torium Thursday evening, December 19. A fine program is being planned and will be presented by the school.
