Mr. Hobbs returned Monday evening but Mrs. Hobbs and Shirley remained here until the last of the week. Miss Margaret Neary, who has been with her uncle in Idaho a great- er part of the summer, returned to Hermiston last wek and left Wed- nesday for Portland and Clatskanie where she will teach in the schools there. This will make Miss Neary's second year at Clatskanie. Among those attending field day at the experiment station Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Nick Faler, Boardman, Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Green and son Stanley, Stanfield, H. W. and C. H. Grim, Irrigon, W. T. Reeves, Stanfield, M. T. and T. P. DeLano, Boardman, and Y. P. Ruth erford, Boardman. Mrs. C. V. Wilson and daughter Lois, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Sargeant, and Mrs. Rilda Stiegleder were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Pierce Wednesday night. They were return ing to their home in Portland after a vacation trip. Mrs. Wilson is Mrs. Pierce’s sister and the family resided on this project 14 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Barlow and family visited in Portland and New berg over the week end. In Port land they were the house guests of Mr. Barlow’s brother, Floyd Barlow and family, and in Newberg they vi sited with Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Need les. former Hermiston residents. Maurice Pierson plans to leave the first of next week for Spokane, Wn., to enter Kinman Business college. Maurice graduated from the Hermis ton Union high school and is a for mer student of Oregon State college. For the past two years he has been employed at the Oregon Hardware & Implement Co. store here, and his place will be filled by C. R. Howton of Pasco. Wn. Edward Foster, brother of Mrs. Chas. Seeliger, motored down from Walla Walla Wednesday for his sis ter and her two boys Charles Junior and James, and his grandmother Mrs. M. Draner. who returned with him to spend the remainder of the week and attend the Walla Walla county fair. Mrs. Draper has been visiting here for some time. In his role of a young college man with an ambition to become a thea trical producer. Gene Raymond pre sents a four-act revue which includes a beautiful ballet, a hilarious black and tan number and double piano act. A chorus of beautiful girls is used in the "Hooray for Love" fi nale. Pert Kelton, comedienne, returns to the screen after several months of vaudeville, and is seen in a part particularly fitted to her inimitable style.
