local telephone exchange.

Going into the mountains to Sheep
Creek Saturday Fred Ober, Dave Mit-
tlesdorf and Walter Jendrzejewski
spent the day fishing. They reported
a nice catch of mountain trout.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Krause re
turned Sunday from a week’s vaca
tion at Yakima and Lake Chelan. At
Yakima they visited Mrs. Krause’s
mother.

from her home at Durkey, Ore. Miss
Levada Bowman accompanied her
home and will remain there to at
tend school in Baker this winter. •
Miss Mary Brownson returned
Sunday from Corvallis where she
has been attending summer school.
She will remain with her parents

Mrs. J. A. Serell, accompanied by
her son Donald motored to Portland

they were joined by Rosemary Serell
who, with Bonnie Jean Follett had
been spending the last two weeks at
the Baptist Assembly at Cascadia,
Ore. In company with relatives they
spent the week end at Seaside, re
turning home Tuesday.
