PAGE FOUR Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hug. who were returning to their home at Elgin after spending four months tn California, stopped in Hermiston to visit friends Wednesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Felthouse and son Gale returned Wednesday from a trip to Portland, and Corvallis where they visited their daughter Margaret, who Is a sophomore at O.S.C. Mrs. Balnche Jaunnault of Stan- field was a guest of the Little Study Croup Tuesday. She gave an inter- esting talk to the members on “Port Said" of the Suez Canal and sur rounding country. Mrs. Jaunnault taught in the schools of Egypt tor a number of years. N W. O'Donnell of the local icie phone exchange. C. A. Paul and Fred Lytell of Pendleton, motored I to Salem last Friday where they attend ed a meeting Saturday. Mr. O’Don nell and Mr. Lytell returned Sunday but Mr. Paul remained in Portlan for the present. Mrs. O. C. Pierce and soa Stanley, who had been visiting in Portland since Friday, returned home Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Elliott and niece Winifred Osborn of Pen- .'lieton. Mrs. Elliott had also been visiting in Portland. A Townsend club meeting will be held Tuesday night at 8:00 o’clock it the Hermiston Union ehurch. Fraser left Wednesday night by train for Butte, Montana, where she will visit her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Fraser, who are the parents of a baby daugh ter born Wednesday. Mrs. Hugh Fraser is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. S. Kingsley of Hermiston. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ober of Her miston, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sheu- ning, Aidon Embysk and Bob Sheu- ning of Pendleton motored twelve miles up Birch Creek from Pilot tock Sunday and spent the day fish- ing.
