For two days this week, Sunday and Monday, turkeys poured in at he Eastern Oregon Turkey Growers’ association pool to make up the two •ars and freight shipment that went ut early Tuesday. The largest per- entage of prime birds yet shipped this season was taken in at this pool, or which growers received a sub- tantial market price. Of the 72,155 pounds pooled, 464 vent as primes, totaling 64,794 ounds, 47 as choice, in 6494 lbs., ind 6 as commercial, in 867 lbs. Ap- roximately $275 in birds was sold ocally to Christmas trade.
