The home of Mrs. A. W. Christoph-
I erson waa the scene ot a charming
bridge-luncheon Tuesday afternoon
when Mrs. O. A. Hills and Mrs.
Christophersou entertained twenty-
eight guests at a one o'clock lunch­
eon. followed by bridge. Seven ta­
bles were in play during the after­
noon. Each guest was presented
with a hot-pad bearing their name,
which served as a talley card and
place card. High honors were won
by Mrs. T. If. Fraser, second high
by Mrs. R. A. Brownson, and con­
solation by Mrs. Joe Norton. All
prizes were to be used in the kitch­
en.

start to finish. Before the local boys
could get into action, Umatilla ad-

early lead. The Bulldogs then came
back with some real fighting blood
when Klages started the scoring,
which was followed by two fast
hoopers by Martin, tying the score
at 23. Umatilla was unable to get
through the locals' five-men defense
to get near the basket, but due to
their experience with a high ceil­
ing, Lyle Brown, surprised the on­
lookers by shooting a long one from
behind center, immediately adding
another to cinch the game, 23-27.
Both Pams played a fighting
ame, but the Umatilla boys seemed
