Lee Savley. 18-tfc Works in Offioe. 44T lie” was the subject of the Les- son-Sermon In all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, January 19. The Golden Text was, "Verily, verily, I say unto you. He that hear- eth my word, and belleveth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condem nation; but is passed from death unto life" (John 5:24). Among the citations which com prised the Lesson-Sermon were the following from the Bible: "I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments, . . . for he is thy life, and the length of thy days” (Deut. 30:14, 20). The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, "Sci ence and Health with Key to the Scriptures”, by Mary Baker Eddy: "The way is straight and narrow, which leads to the understanding that God is the only Life. I t is a warfare with the flesh, in which we must conquer sin, sickness, and death, either here or hereafter,— certainly before we can reach the goal of Spirit, or life in God” (p. 324).
