ALFALFA DAMAGE ELSEWHERE
Sam Boardman, with the state
highway, drove back through town
from a trip to Boise. Idaho, last
week and states that a hay stack Is
unusual all along the highway. In
Baker county he says that 90 per
cent of the alfalfa was winter killed
and the stockmen are already guess
ing how they are going to feed their
cattle and sheep this coming win
ter. In Idaho the alfalfa is also bad
ly damaged and the hay all consum
ed. He expects that alfalfa hay
will be higher than a cat’s back this
winter.
