inside can be believed.
It was a m onth ago th a t the Com­
m ercial club decided it was tim e for
a com m unity good tim e and appoint­
ed a com m ittee to make th e arra n g e ­
m ents. The resu lt is the m instrel
show, stu n t show and general good
tim e to be staged Tuesday, November
29.
Opening Chorus Good
One of the features of the program
is an opening chorus w hich has all
th e latest song hits. T he members
include Otto Sapper, In strum entalist,
W. J. W arner, interlocutor, Dr. F. V.

W. Adamson, F. A. Chezik, F. C.

A 15 m inute playlet is being pre­
pared by A. W. Adamson, Jack W al­
ler and O. C. Young, T his act has
a num ber of pointed local hits. Com­
m u n ity singing w ill be led by A. C.

flam es and it w as none too soon for
th e room w as in a blaze and they
w ere spredtng rapidly in to th e tire
shop n ex t door.
It w as a m a tte r of perhaps 15 m in­
u tes to get the fire u n d er control,
but th e w ater was k ep t going for
some little tim e In order to m ake sure
the flam es could n ot get a fresh sta rt.
The resu lt of th e fire is th a t most
of Mr. Ogden’s stock is destroyed, or
ra th e r most of th e q u a n itity of It de­
stroyed, for th e more valuable th in g s
w ere locked In th e safe an d w ere not
touched a t all. Then th e re was a
showcase gotten o u t and a few of the
o th er articles w ere still serviceable.
Mr. Ogden carried $1000 w orth of
insurance w hich he took o u t a fte r
the la st fire in Septem ber and It Is
th o u g h t th a t th is w ill alm ost cover
the damage.
Mr. E llio tt also h ad $1000 w orth
o f ’insurance. lie carried a stock of
tires. Many of these w ere gotten out
b u t'so m e were burned. In addition
some of th e fix tu res w ere damaged
and his shop like Mr. Ogden’s was de­
luged w ith w ater and suffered some
as a resu lt. Mr. E llio tt will lose
b ut it is hard to determ ine how much.
