Cochran and daughter Winnie, who arrived here a couple of weeks ago from Stites, Idaho, to make their home, have moved onto the E. P. Dodd South Hill ranch, which they will operate the coming year. Mrs. H. R. Newport and son Mar shall have been here from Portland on a visit with relatives the past week. Part of the time the lady was at the sick bedside of her husband. Ross Newport, who is now convalesc ing in Pendleton from a severe at tack of influenza. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Boynton have arrived home in Hermiston, the gen tleman coming from Fort Mason. Calif., where he was in the service as a member of the quartermaster's corps.
