Mr. and Mrs. Bruce tendered a party to the young people of the Baptist church Friday evening of last week at their home on East Main street. An elaborate luncheon was served by the hostess and an enjoyable time was had playing games. Mr. Bruce is superin tendent of the Sunday school of the above church. W. F- Smith returned Tuesday from bis annual pilgrimage to the big prune orchard owned by the Blalock interests near Walla Walla. Each year Mr. Smith, who is an expert orchard mao, is called there to taka charge of the harvesting of the big prune crop produced on the place, one hundred and eight cars having been picked, packed and shipped under his supervision from there this year. Mr. and Mra. J S. Dixon of Green Bay, Wie., are welcome visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Cressy, the ladies being sisters.
